Pombal by Kiara Bosilj

Hello!

My name is Kiara Bosilj, I am from Garešnica and I am 17 years old. I currently attend the School of Economics and Tourism in Daruvar, and I just finished the third year of the hotel and tourism program.

During my two-week internship in Pombal, I worked at the hotel reception, where I had the opportunity to improve my communication skills and learn more about the daily responsibilities of receptionists. I welcomed guests, answered their questions, and helped them with check-ins and check-outs. I also practiced communicating in English and Portuguese, which was sometimes a challenge but also a great learning experience.

The team I worked with was kind, helpful, and always ready to support me. Thanks to them, I felt confident and motivated to learn more every day.

Pombal is a charming town with a peaceful atmosphere and friendly people. I really enjoyed exploring the area in my free time and learning about Portuguese culture.

This internship helped me gain valuable work experience and created memories I will always cherish. I would definitely recommend Erasmus projects to all students – they are a great way to grow both professionally and personally.
